Happy 19 months!

Emma got into my sock drawer and insisted on wearing these socks.  I humored her and let her sport this look (just around the house!)  It may become a new fashion trend amongst toddlers.  I wanted to take a picture, so I grabbed my camera, and Emma must be getting used to the routine, because she sat down and said CHEESE.  I got a lot of happy pictures because she was hamming it up, which NEVER happens (and notice all the new teeth in her mouth).
Love her.

A few new facts about Emma:
*will eat any food if it is in a french fry shape.  Our new chicken (nugget) fries are a big hit.  (It is all about presentation with her.)
*loves my Smart Start cereal.
*enjoys sitting at our island in the bar stools, and will even eat a meal there.
*her vocabulary is growing everyday.  And we can understand most of it!
*enjoys closing every open door in the house and telling us "bye!" as she closes it.
*is beginning to like taking care of her baby dolls more, and has been giving the baby in mommy's belly sweet kisses.
*is now extremely scared of shadows in her bedroom at night and any random floating piece of lint in the bathtub.  We have to be careful not to have the foyer light on because it casts big shadows on her walls when we get her ready for bed.  And bath time is becoming a battle, because she inspects every inch of the tub for a speck of something floating, and it's even come to Bill's feet joining her and me holding a screaming Emma just get the soap of her hair.
*she's growing up too fast!
