Happy New Year!

We celebrated New Year's Eve at home with my sister and brother-in-law, eating, watching the "Jon & Kate Plus 8" marathon (I think the guys secretly liked it) and playing Scene-It. Before Emma said goodbye to 2007, she wanted to taste her toes for a bit. During her babbling and toe-sucking, she also began saying "dada" for the first time, much to Bill's delight.

Emma has never, ever taken a nap longer than 40 minutes. I could set my clocks by her. But the past two days her nap lasted....wait for it...2 and a half hours!!! We literally did not know what to do with ourselves. I'm just praying she keeps this up, and it wasn't just a fluke.

We just enjoyed breakfast out at Nifty-Fifty's (banana pancakes-yum!) and Emma is down for a nap. I think I'm going to begin taking down the Christmas decorations. Happy 2008!
