firsts

Emma had her first day of school last Thursday and her first soccer game on Sunday.  She loves both, and we're looking forward to the fall!

She insisted on posing this way.

 

Maddie had to be a part of picture taking.

 I can't believe that next year Maddie will be going to school here.  It was enough to make me cry that day.

First day of soccer! Emma just jumped right in and seemed to love it.

 She initially cried that she was number 7, that her shirt was too big, and that her team wasn't named the Fairies...but now is okay with the first two, and privately renamed her team to the Fairy Kickin' Cubs.

 I accidentally caught this moment.  She got upset because she was told to not kick with her toes but the inside of her foot, and got frustrated.  She got over it.
