Florida: day one

Wednesday morning we left bright and early for Florida.

The highlights of the day: Emma so excited about flying, seeing Mom Mom and Pop Pop, as well as visiting with my Aunt Sandy, Uncle Paul, and cousin Matt, and trying on dresses my aunt made for the girls.

About to take off.  (You can see the sun rising through the window, we had an early flight.) Emma was so excited to fly, and was giggling during take-off (which I hate, but I pretended it was wonderful.)

Emma had so much fun swimming in the pool while Maddie was napping.

Immediately after taking this picture, Emma layed down on the floor in her wet bathing suit, grabbed a blanket, and passed out.  We had a hard time waking her up for dinner.

Aunt Sandy had a "dress fitting" for the girls.  Can you guess what they are being for Halloween?

Can't wait for the finished product, they looked awesome.

The low points of the day (that we can laugh about now): Emma hysterically crying at 4 am because she just wanted to go back to her bed and not be put in the car, Maddie throwing up all her breakfast in the airport before boarding (nice), and a entertaining a crying, fussy Maddie during the flight.  (So sorry to the men traveling on business in front of us who had to listen to a crying baby on the floor. And get kicked in the back.  They were very nice about it, though.)
